Getting the Most out of Your Medica Medicare Plan

Happy New Year! As we start the year, we want to be sure you have the tools and resources to make the most of your Medica Medicare plan. This message includes important information—please save it for future reference, and feel free to reach out if you’d like to review anything individually.


Medica Customer Service


For questions about your plan or benefits, Medica’s Customer Service team can be reached at: 952-945-8000

Member Portal Access


To manage your benefits online, create or sign in to your Medica Member Portal. From there, you can:


  • View benefits

  • Check claims

  • Manage your account


Over-the-Counter (OTC) & Extra Benefits Cards


You should have received two cards:


  • Medica Member ID Card

  • Extra Benefits Debit Card (used for OTC, dental, and vision benefits)


Your Extra Benefits Card can be used for OTC purchases at:


  • Stand-alone CVS locations (not CVS inside Target)

  • Walmart

  • Walgreens

  • Dollar General

  • Or by ordering through the Medica OTC catalog


Each Medica plan offers different allowance amounts for OTC, dental, and vision, so be sure to review your plan details. Learn more at MyBenefitsCenter.com


Mail-Order Prescriptions (Express Scripts)


You may choose to have eligible prescriptions delivered directly to your home through Express Scripts.

One Pass™ Fitness Program

Your Medica plan includes access to the One Pass™ Fitness program at no additional cost. With One Pass, you can:


  • Access participating gyms nationwide

  • Join local and online fitness classes


Register online to receive your One Pass membership number, which you’ll use for all participating gyms and programs:https://www.youronepass.com/


Find an In-Network Provider


Using in-network providers helps you avoid unexpected bills and maximize your benefits.


We recommend creating a Medica account and signing in for the best experience. One great advantage of Medica Medicare plans is that they are accepted by providers nationwide who take Medicare.


If you need help confirming a provider, please contact us—we’re happy to assist.


Travel Program

Medica offers a Health Travel Program for members when traveling. If you are planning to travel call Medica for details on coverage and how to access care while away from home.


Dental & Vision Benefits


Dental and vision benefits are managed through a separate Extra Benefits debit card, preloaded with your plan’s allowance. This card can be used for eligible dental services, eyewear, and OTC items, up to the limit allowed by your specific plan.

Hearing Aid Coverage

These services are covered when members get them from an EPIC Hearing provider:


  • $0 copay for annual routine hearing exam

  •  Low copays $549/$799/$1299 for EPIC's private-label hearing aids in various styles and colors

  • New option: Non-prescription option of $999 (must be purchased as a pair)

  • No cost one-year supply of batteries

  • $0 copay for hearing aid fitting/evaluation within the first year for EPIC's Silver or Gold

level models

  • Three-year extended repair/loss and damage
